IMO Olympiad Syllabus 2022: IMO is a Mathematics based Olympiad exam conducted each year. It will also for the pupils of Class 1 – 12. IMO Test Eligibility Criteria

IMO Olympiad, eligibility is different for each of the levels 1 & 2. Let’s see that eligibility criterion for the SOF IMO exam.

Eligibility for Level 1 IMO Exam

There will be no specific eligibility criterion for the IMO 1st level of examination. All the students across the country who have already registered in Class 1 – 12 are acceptable.

Eligibility for Level 2 IMO Exam

Students who get qualified for the level 2 examination involve:

  1. Top 5% of students class-wise, who have appeared for the 1st level exam,
  2. Top 25 rank holders’ zone-wise and also class wise.
  3. The class toppers from each participating school where at least ten scholars from a class appear in the exam & scores 50% qualifying scores. In case enrollment is received section-wise, students with the highest marks will qualify for the 2nd level irrespective of the section. For the section-wise registrations, the gold medal winner(s) may not certainly qualify for the Level 2.

Note: Students from classes 1 & 2 are not required to perform for the 2nd level IMO exam and are ranked based on their marks on the first level.

Importance/Benefits of IMO (International Mathematics Olympiad)

Participants of the IMO (International Mathematics Olympiad) are ranked based on marks obtained. Hence, after taking the first level test, students can judge themselves academically at four different levels – within the school, city level, zonal level, and above all, at the International level.

Each student is provided with a Student Performance Report (SPR) after releasing the results of the IMO Olympiad. The SPR analyses the student’s strong and weak areas and gives a detailed performance comparison of the student vis-Γ -vis other students at School, City, Zonal and International level.
