NSO Olympiad Syllabus

The SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation) has already released the syllabus for NSO (National Science Olympiad) on its official website. This Olympiad will be conducted in the English medium. Approximately 56,000 students are expected to appear in this exam this year. NSO Eligibility Criteria

NSO is Fundamental for School students who want to assess their scientific & academic aptitude. NSO is mainly conducted in two levels – Level 1 and 2.

NSO Level 1 Eligibility

There no such distinct criterion for this exam; this test is mainly open to school students from class 1 – 12. Also, in class 1 and 2, there are no criteria for minimum marks which makes Olympiad Open to all School students.

NSO Level 2 Eligibility

Only the Scholars who perform well in the 1st level examination will be shortlisted for the Level 2 exam. The following pupils will be eligible for the NSO Exam:

  • Top 5% of the scholars from each class who wrote the Level 1 examination.
  • Top 25 (zone-wise) score holders from each section.
  • At least 10 students from each class perform in the exam and score a 50% score.

Note: There is no need for students from class 1 to class 2 to appear on the 2nd level exam. They were judged according to their performance in the Level 1 exam only.
