The population of India is nearing 1.5 billion of which only one third is able to read. The literacy rate directly caters to the development of the country. It is important that our government make education available to the less privileged sections of society. A number of government organizations as well as volunteers and other private organizations are actively contributing to the upliftment of the society by providing scholarships under different educational schemes. But the irony is that these schemes are still not reachable to the much-deserved sections of the society.

The government of India has decided to initiate a portal to provide information about various available scholarship programs in the country in one place and the outcome is the National Scholarship Portal (NSP). It not only provides information about the scholarships but also lets the candidate apply for the scholarship directly on the portal. The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) provides complete information regarding state-wise scholarships.
