West Bengal Minorities’ Development & Finance Corporation invites West Bengal Post-Matric Scholarship applications for the academic year 2023-2024 from minority students of West Bengal pursuing their Class 11 to Ph.D. The goal of the scholarship is to help deserving but poor students continue their education in their dream field.

West Bengal Government Post-MMatric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC 2023-2024 is being offered by the ‘Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment,’ Government of India. This scholarship is intended for West Bengal students pursuing their post-matriculation. It is a scholarship under the Backward Classes Welfare Department. Students pursuing studies from the 11th grade to post-graduation level can apply to this scholarship scheme. The scholarship aims to provide financial aid to learners belonging to the SC/ST/OBC category.

West Bengal Post-Matric Scholarship – Eligibility criterion 2023

To be eligible, an applicant must:

• Be a long-term resident of West Bengal.
• Be studying in a school or institution affiliated with any Educational Council/Board or the University of State/Central Government.
• The student must have scored at least 50% of the marks or equivalent score in the last qualifying exam he/she appeared.
• Family income should be not any more than INR 2 Lakh per annum.
• Belong to the minority sections (SC/ST/OBC) of West Bengal.
• Note: Scholars pursuing their education in institutes outside the state are not eligible for this scholarship.
