West Bengal Pre-Matric Scholarship 2023– West Bengal Minorities’ Development & Finance Corporation has been inviting applications for West Bengal state, Pre-Matric Scholarships for the academic year 2023from all the minority students of West Bengal studying in Classes 1 to 10. The Pre-Matric Scholarship will be uploaded “fresh” and available for renewal on November 15 of this year.

The students in classes 1 to 10 can apply for this scholarship program between October and December of 2023 through the backward classes’ welfare department, West Bengal. This scholarship is only applicable to scholars belonging to the SC or ST categories. Students pursuing their 9th and 10th grades are eligible to apply. The selected candidates will get a monthly amount of Rs. 150 to Rs. 750 and an additional Adhoc grant of Rs. 1000 every year.

West Bengal Pre-Matric Scholarship Eligibility criteria 2023

To be eligible for the Pre-Matric Scholarship of West Bengal, an applicant should make sure of the points mentioned below:

• Be a domicile/long-term resident of West Bengal.
• You should be studying in class 1 – 10 at a school/institution that’s affiliated with a Educational Board/Council/University of State or the Central Government.
• Must have scored at least 50% of marks in his/her last qualifying exam that they have appeared. (Class 1 exceptional)
• Family income of less than INR 2 lakhs per year is accepted.
• Belongs to the minority sectors of West Bengal.

Note – Students continuing their studies outside West Bengal aren’t eligible for this scholarship scheme.

The selected candidates will get a monthly amount of Rs. 150 to Rs. 750 and an additional Adhoc grant of Rs. 1000 every year.

Pre-Matric Scholarship 2023– Important documents required to apply

After submitting your application through the online process, you have to present the hard copy of the finished application form that was filled with all the required details, along with the following documents in the concerned institute- 

• Photocopy of the first page of bank passbook containing Account number as well as the IFSC Code.
• Self-declaration of the family’s Annual Income (Income Certificate).
